Mets Take Matt Harvey

08 Jun 2010

My Mets take a pitcher from right in our backyard in UNC’s own Matt Harvey.

Matt Harvey has been a stud on the mound for the Tar Heels over the past three seasons since turning down big money to come and play for the Heels. But his time in Chapel hill has made him a better pitcher and given him a little more fun than 3 years in the minor leagues would have. At UNC, he accumulated a stellar career with a record of 22-7 with a 3.73 ERA in 54 games (43 starts) over three years at Chapel Hill, ranking ninth all-time in UNC history with 263 strikeouts, 10th with 22 wins.

He will be a good addition to my Mets rotation in a few years and maybe it will give me a reason to buy another Mets jersey.

Also the Braves suck
