Jake Plummer to Hit the High School Fields
19 Apr 2009
No, Plummer will not be suiting up with the Broncos, Buzzsaw, or even as an ESPN analyst next season. Instead he will be the new assistant coach at Sandpoint High School in his current Idaho resort town. Mike Mitchell, the head coach said that Plummer will receive normal pay. This will probably be significantly lower than his Cardinals or Broncos playing days. When Plummer retired in 2006 he had thrown for 29,000 yards, 161 TDs, and 161 interceptions in his 10 year career.
While people tended to constantly criticize Plummer for being the best quaterback, he was a winner none the less. The man boasted a 40-18 starting record with the Broncos . . . although it is usually overshadowed by the fact he threw 3 interceptions in the AFC championship game against the Steelers.
